Delurking Day

It's that time again! Introduce yourself! I'd love to meet you.

I'll give you a topic:

If you had free childcare for 24 hours and an unlimited budget, what would you do?

I would hire a personal baker and chef to fill my house with delicious treats. While they were working, Ryan and I would sleep late and then linger over a breakfast of coffee and chocolate chip scones then go for a long bike ride around the lake. We would come home for lunch and a long nap then go out for cocktails. We'd finish off the day by coming home for a delicious dinner and movie together. Then we would sleep. No really.

Hi! Lurker here.

1. Nope, don't think I can see a banner...sorry...

2. I don't have any kids just yet, so I'll take the cost of 24 hours of childcare, and spend it at the mall, ok? Or maybe just all at Anthropologie. I figure I have about 3 more free months until the kid-making process is underway, so I may as well buy all the cute stuff I can find now.

Hi! Thanks for coming by my blog...I love Delurking Days because I get to find new blogs to stalk. I mean read.

24 hours of free child care?

I'd drink some wine the night before, stay up late and watch movies, then sleep in...

Um yeah not sure what I would do since I'm sans kiddos. But I'll 'delurk' anyways :) --a

p.s. the word verification I had to type had "wtf" in it :)

I would lock myself in a hotel room with a 12-pack of cheap beer, a bottle of lotion and all the Spectravision porn money can buy.

Well, let's just say that I don't need childcare yet, but if I were suddenly un-pregnant for 24 hours, I'd eat a chicken cheesesteak and not be sick afterward, take lots of otc drugs, and drink a beer. not that I like beer, but it's the principle of the matter!

Okay, this is totally and completely unoriginal (nice one with the pastry chef), but since caffeine and booze are out, I would go to a spa. All day. Wraps, massage, facial, mani/pedi, blowout, whatever. Then, Ben and I would eat at a totally grownup restaurant, and I'd watch every season of Gilmore Girls and America's Next Top Model. Sigh.

Fancy-pants hotel. Breakfast in bed. Mimosas. Day at the spa. All DAY. Delicious dinner out on the town. Lots of drinks. See a movie. Sleep.

Perfection.

Delurking -

I'd hav eto spend 6 hours in the spa to unwind, then the rest of my time could be spent doing anything. As long as it involved spending time with my husband. We never get that alone time anymore and it SUCKS.

Your cousin here. Still lurking... Given that my chef boyfriend who just happens to also be trained in French pastry moved in with me this weekend (I'm actually serious about that one), I think I'd ditch grad school and spend all day with my feet up eating his delicious food!
